The ATV experience gives you a more flexible and playful way to explore beyond the resort areas. After a safety briefing and operating instructions, you head out onto Guanacaste terrain where dirt roads, rural landscapes, and seasonal trail conditions become part of the ride.
Dry season can mean dusty trails and wide-open views. Green season can bring more mud, vegetation, and a completely different feel. The attraction is not only speed; it is the chance to reach places and landscapes that feel far removed from the main tourist roads.
ATV operation follows the normal age and safety rules of the individual activity. Riders who do not meet the solo-riding requirements must ride with an adult.

La Leona is not a waterfall you simply walk up to and photograph. The route is part of the adventure. Near Curubandé, volcanic rock and clear blue-green water form a narrow canyon system where hiking, swimming, and moving through the water lead you toward the waterfall.
Depending on conditions, the experience can involve uneven terrain, river sections, swimming, and moving through the canyon with the guide’s assistance. It feels much more immersive than a conventional waterfall visit.
The physical journey is exactly what makes La Leona memorable. You do not just arrive at the destination—you earn the view through the canyon route itself.

The rafting day puts the group on moving water. After a safety briefing, equipment fitting, and paddling instructions, the river team guides you onto the Tenorio River for a more technical and high-energy adventure.
Rafting is built around teamwork. Your guide calls the commands, everyone paddles together, and the raft moves through rapids and calmer river sections as the scenery changes around you.

How the Package Works
The included activities are operated on separate days and do not need to be consecutive. During the booking process, you will choose the date for each activity and the order in which you would like to experience the tours. This lets you build the package around your own travel schedule instead of following a fixed itinerary.

Green Tours CR will follow the dates and order selected during booking whenever available. If weather, park operations, river or ocean conditions, or supplier availability require an adjustment, we will contact you to coordinate the best alternative.
Each tour keeps its normal age limits, mobility requirements, minimum participation rules, inclusions, meeting points, and safety conditions. The advantage of the package is simpler coordination and a better combined price.
Pickup & Transportation
Transportation is included when it is normally included in the individual tour. ATV and the sunset catamaran do not include transportation and keep their normal meeting-point arrangements. If you would like private transportation added for those activities, contact us before booking.
